Hey ya!
After some complaints by e-mail, which I will not hear anything from me, so now after nearly a month, once again, a new report!
My concern continues to be very good here in Reading!
I have now no longer cook twice a week to cook but only if Esther is working or not there is a long time! The
gives me quite a bit of relief because we have to buy for lack of space in the fridge for each hot meal in the new principle and that means stop and always buy in advance, etc. and that is taking too much time. "Is the old does not even do so" now think certainly some of you, but I would live somewhere else I could do if in doubt, always at least for two days
My work continues to make fun and I get more and more responsibility!
I make now always the session with a client in the administration alone, where the client list shreds and postmark affixed to envelopes. I also have one or two cooking sessions alone, and do now sometimes small administrator and several issues, such as lead or receipt books to write to the folder for the client, how they behave in the sessions.
Otherwise, I play basketball and am quite busy on quite successful (even though we have only lost, but based on my own performance!)
We had a game last weekend in London, where two other German volunteers who live in London, added check
Although it is quite good if you live with a host family because we stop always has someone you can ask for any problems and it's just been not completely on their own, but now that I've settled in quite well, go to me but sometimes on my nerves with their thousands of rules that they are complying with almost all of it yourself, especially concerning the kitchen and cooking! But otherwise they are quite nice and if one really has a problem can really count on them!
On Sunday, the 8th November Remembrance Sunday was here, where the nation commemorates the war dead of World Wars, but also the wars in the recent past (such as Afghanistan or Iraq). This Sunday is it in all the towns total number of war veterans' parades, military parades and various public commemorations.
I was on that Sunday so in London where the whole is very visible and I did have it quite impressive how much national pride of the English, and I think that a bit of national pride and Germany do well would, because even if we have a totally terrible past as a nation, I do think that Germany is not from the ground up is bad, especially my generation, the Nazi era already know only from history lessons and possibly from the stories of the grandparents and there are already some things and traditions to which we can be proud of I think!
In any case, take the English in this commemorative week called "Poppy". Poppy Poppy is translated and therefore are also Poppy's little red paper flowers that you can fix with ner pin on his jacket, pocket or on the car (where there is probably more needed than ne pin). This Poppys are then carried to 11/11. because that day was signed the peace treaty of World War 1 and by 11 clock. This is totally "strange" for where in England we have a minute's silence to commemorate the fallen and thus free up the Remembrance Week is launched on the other side of the North Sea, the Carnival is the world ... funny! But it made me kind of sad, the British celebrate the Remembrance Week, the thing, because it gave me much made that we in Germany do not speak about the wars and they hush up, even if the topic more than once in the classroom by taking and the generation that has to be done somehow to do with the war more and more aussstirbt.
But until we talk about it publicly and accept that part of history, it is probably still a long way if they ever find a way.
To get back to a somewhat cheerful subject, I wanted to tell you that I've been here Night at a Bonfire, on the Baptiste church in which I also Mondays always go to the International Bible Studies "at one with tea and biscuits with People from all over the world on the sense and nonsense p
Anyway, the Bonfire was really cool!
We were on a secluded farm and it was soup and burgers and hot dogs, but it was very cold anyway.
was then lit a very nice fireworks display and the real Bonfire a big bonfire, such as Easter in Germany. I spent the whole evening with Ann along a Chinese woman whom I knew already by International Bible Studies and a friend of hers, that was really really nice and a nice evening! With the Bonfire Night was
celebrate the Guy Fawkes attempt to burn down the British Parliament, successfully fought off. Before the Bonfire event Judioth yet here was a native of Hamburg German volunteer their voluntary service spent in London. That was really nice, she was the first visit for me here in Reading and I've been looking forward a total and it was there, we took a look at Reading and one of the parks in Reading where a large lion is made of marble, as well as a war memorial, and has built the artist of this lion has, unfortunately, the feet of the current
I've unfortunately bought conditioner instead of shampoo and now I have to wash my hair again, with the right shampoo!
I hope you have liked my little review and I hope the next one is faster ... but can not promise anything and I will!!
Best wishes to you all your Felicitas
